The Black Law Students' Association of McGill (hereafter "BLSAM") is the oldest Québec chapter of the Black Law Students' Association of Canada (BLSA Canada) which is a national, not-for-profit organization. We are a group inspired by the legal academic movements of Critical Race Theory and Critical Race Feminism, as well as social and intellectual movements for Black liberation. It is our desire to promote the needs and concerns of Black law students to the general public and legal community. BLSAM also serves as a support and mentorship network, providing resources and support to students of colour's academic and professional pursuits.
