CARL/L’ACAADR McGill is a student chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, an organization founded in 2011 to promote just and consistent practices in the treatment of refugees in Canada.

As the McGill student chapter, we have participated in this work by assisting refugee lawyers with their research, meeting with MPs to lobby for refugee law reform, and mobilizing the McGill community through letter-writing campaigns and fundraisers. We have also organized unique opportunities to shadow refugee lawyers, attend conferences, and participate in professional speed-meets.
